if i sell on ebay?

if you look under paying your ebay selling fees under the help tab on ebay, it says monthly and one time payment. Does that mean that i have to pay a monthly fee to sell on ebay? Please explain this to me.

for every item that you list there is an insertion fee and for each item that ends with a winner there is a final value fee. These fees are collected monthly. Most payments are taken out automatically from your checking or credit card. The payment button that you are referring to is for one time payments. Meaning that you want to pay one time with paypal...it isn't taken out automatically. Make sense? So, no. there are only your seller fees that you pay monthly. Not a one time fee. there is just a button that you can use to make a one time payment without using your normal choice of payment.

there are 2 ways you can sell on ebay: as a regular seller and open up a store. I think if you open up a store, they'll charge you a monthly fee regardless of your sales. If you sell as a normal seller, they charge you commission on the items you list and sell. So know the difference between the 2. The ebay help section is pretty clear about this. Read more.

My parents used to do a lot of selling on Ebay and a lot of the time they would look to current events to decide what to buy. They had a pretty extensive collection of books, political and sports memorabilia. They would see what politicians, sports figures or events were in the news and would sell anything they had that was related. I think that what sells on Ebay is probably an ever-changing thing.

The answer to your question is No. The only fees that you pay will be the ones for specifically listing any items that you sell.

When you list an item they will give you a confirm button letting you know what your actual cost for listing the specific item will be, you then agree to it or disagree.

They will charge your checking account (or credit card - whichever you use on your account) one time each month for the items that you have listed during that time period.

I hope this helps and good luck!

They will take out your fees for listing your items which is up to 5% depending on how much the item sells for. They will also take out the fees that you acquire when you list the item, you will know what these are. This will be like the fees for adding pictures and things. It will come out of whatever account you used to sign up for your ebay account. Mine comes off of my credit card but you can also do it with a check card if you want it out of a checking account.

It gives you the option of making a one time selling fee or a fee that covers multiple sales for a month.

  • 1 decade ago

No, if you are selling only 1 item you can pay just once. The monthly option is for people who have e-bay stores or sell lots of items regularly.

    Hello Friend,

If you want to know about eBay, and what products to sell, as well as a wholesale source, this is the best one: http://www.dropship-business.com/index.html?aid=15...

. I used to sell as much as $30,000 a month in products (honest). I stopped last year due to Multiple Sclerosis. But I honestly have alot of knowledge. I was one of the top 3 power sellers in my category. First step sign up at the link above, (and YES I do make a commission when you sign up, but when you do, I will give you all my tips and tricks, they have three different levels of service. You can just buy the drop shipping package if you want, this means that you never have to handle merchandise. When someone pays you for an auction, you simply go to your site and order the product and it is shipped directly to your customer. If you can afford it, try to sign up for option 3 (complete package). This will give you a website for your products, as well as generate ads for eBay, and it generates data feeds for Comparison Shopping sites like Froogle, Google Base, Shopping.com, etc.,. This will help you earn revenue in other places than just eBay. Also, I will lead you to a source that will make everything you sell on eBay run on auto-pilot.

If you are interested, sign up for the service and then email me at support@home-biz-group.com . Whether you choose to do this or not, I wish you all the luck in the world, and also, be very careful, there are alot of scams out there!
