Knitting is fun and constructive, as is crocheting. Sewing takes time and is a good creative outlet. There's always beading, soapmaking, scrapbooking, candlemaking, and other 'put-it-together' crafts. Woodworking is great if you want more physical involvement. If plants interest you, start an indoor herb garden -- or two or three, so you have enough to share with friends who cook. Fresh herbs are always great for folks who like to cook. Cooking's a good, practical hobby only if you have folks around to help eat up what you cook. Keeping a pet could be a hobby if animals interest you.
If you enjoy shopping and have transport available, you could offer to shop for people who can't get out much. The elderly and infirm often need this kind of assistance on a regular basis. Some folks who would only occasionally need this service might include mothers with small children -- especially single moms, and especially when the child is ill or when Mom or the kid is really busy with work or church or sports or something -- someone whose work schedule is incompatible with the stores' hours, someone who's temporarily laid up (recent surgery, mobility-retsricting injury, etc) and others. Doing shopping for someone who is just plain snowed under at work would also likely be appreciated. If you are involved in a church, the deacons (or whatever group in your church assists those in need) could probably tell you of folks who might need assistance this way. Some people might even prefer going with you to shop, if you're open to that.
If you're a people-person, a good 'hobby' might be visiting the elderly and shut-in nearby. You could do an oral history project, letting them share memories and recollections that are important to them. Sure, it's work, but a good hobby IS work; that's why it keeps you busy. It's just work you enjoy.
Volunteer your time at a local animal welfare agency or some other organization whose ideals and objectives you support. If one group doesn't need help -- which does happen, albeit rarely -- contact another.
I guess you can see my general point of view: if you're truly bored, share yourself with others who need you, even if you don't know them yet!

you can do a lot of work yourself, not to mention the amount of learning you can get form that experience.
That's what I do, i HAVE A 1965 FORD truck, and a mustang I am building into a 4 wheel drive. I love it for many reasons. One, the amount of satisfaction you get from it. I even modded my regular daily driver by putting in a 1450 watt stereo system. I also tweaked that old 1993 mercury sable to where it has power to tangle with a V8. pretty awesome feeling when you booming past a nice mustang in a regular looking merc sable..lol

Try model building. OK you might be a girl, but there are models of some really cool things that are not guy things. Don't be offended, but how about a doll house? If you don't mind the 'boy' stuff, take a look at model railroading. You can buy everything pre-built or build everything your self. There are quite a few women that have Z gauge model trains.Source(s): http://www.marklin.com

Some big posters of your favorite games hanging on all the walls would be cool. Also things like some gaming chairs or bean bag chairs and a nice big tv or even a projection tv that covers the whole back wall of the shed (If it's within your budget). You should also put a table between the chairs and the tv for your gamers to set their food or controllers on etc.

Here is a unique one that is really cool. Mask making. You can start out small using paper mache and plaster bandages then move onto the real stuff. Making masks by sculpting them in clay and then making mold out of plaster. Then you cast it out of latex and paint it and add hair. Great fun not too terribly expensive and endless opportunities. Also if your any good you can make a little money selling them. Check out monstermakers.com for suppliesSource(s): I do it and love it.
