Actually when you ovulate your body temperature rises full thermal shift level, if I remember it is only about .6 degrees, and will stay elevated if pregnant. If not, temp will go back down and you will menstruate. 100.4 seems a little high for an ovulation temperatue increase. Perhaps you have a touch of something. The best time to moniter your temperature if you would like to keep track of your cycles and ovulation is at you regular waking time before getting out of bed in the morning. It should be done at the same time every day, your earliest waking time for that month. A basal digital thermometer is best to use, because the temp changes are in tenths of degrees.

Theory is that unlike normal the pregnant body will optimize the temperature for the baby. This makes the temperature of the mother to be fluctuate a bit. No biggy, we are talking minimal changes but it happens. Why theory then? In a 'normal' body there are also fluctuations.

You may not have too much to worry about.

#1: obviously have you been sick? If not, you know thats not the culprit

#2: from what I remember though, it is pretty much ok as long as you dont go above 100.5? But to be safe, whether you feel like its a waste or not, please call your OB. They should have an after hours way to get a hold of them.

what happens is that when you ovulate your temp rises, and if you have conceived then it will stay elevated. This does not mean that you have conceived for sure. You should wait till your period is due, then take a test. Good luck.

Your body temperature is constantly changing, especially while pregnant. It will fluctuate alot but there's no need to worry unless it reaches 102. You don't want it to rise too much but you also don't want it to drop too much either.

Sometimes. You normally shouldn't worry until it has reached 101 or 102.

Yes because you have a little baby inside you.

You still have normal temp during pregnancy unless you are sick.
