Need song title---country music?

An old song which I heard in the 60s--typical alcoholic self-pity song. It started out "To ease the pain of broken hearts", and ended with "One thing for sure, this ain't no cure; it's just to ease the pain".

I thought it was an Ernest Tubb song but can't find it in collections.

Ok, the lyrics are a little off, but I think the song you are looking for is called.... "Just to Ease the Pain" by Hank Thompson.

    Hope this helped.

Heard in the 60's? Try Hank Williams, Jr.

Do you have a little bit more of the lyrics?

Source(s): You are right Paul. I was thinking that was a Hank Thompson (my favorite artist) song but the lyrics were messing me up. Good job!
