Xiong is the same pronounciation as Song. Many people of American cultural wouldn't know that, they would more than likely try to sound out the "x".

    xiong does not mean song.

xiong is a last name or a first name for boys.

or in hmong it means bamboo.

i would keep my last name spell the same too.

if it songs the same but it's spell different.

    i would keep.

    it shows that you're hmong.

i think song is a ugly last name xiong is kinda ugly too.

but it's better song which isnt even her real last name

Know, Song is just her American last name. If you said it in Asia it would be Xiong

xiong means song. also maybe because people couldnt really pronounce it and she changed it to something easy.

Maybe she didn't like it or something?

maybe so she could disguise her "asian" roots
