    What's a degree and/or an MCSE certification?

    Just kidding!

When I started the answer was Yes, (being able to DO was more important than certs or degrees to most clients.)

NOW, however, you need EVERYTHING you can get, PLUS some experience to get a good "high paying" job in just about ANY field. No matter how GOOD you are, if you don't have the "paper" most won't even talk to you!
