if it's really bad you'll need to get a prescription. if it's mild, keep putting a hot, wet, clean wash rag over it to help it drain. and stay away from light - it's irritating.

Get a facecloth and run it in very very hot water. Squeeze out the water but so the facecloth is still very very hot. Hold it up against the stye (but not your eyeball). Repeat this morning and night. Eventually it'll pop or fade away. Sometimes the doc will prescribe erythromycin cream which is an antibiotic, but that doesn't seem to affect mine. Avoid eye makeup and contact lenses while you have the stye, as that seems to just make it last longer.

Since a stye is technically a pimple, it can be popped. However, doing so is not recommended without technical experience.

Most styes will drain on their own though this may be accelerated with a hot or warm compress. Styes typically resolve within 1 week with treatment.

Everytime I got a stye eye I would put warm compresses on it. It usually goes away in a couple of days. Unfortunately there isn't any medication to take to make it go away. They are one of the most annoying conditions to ever experience.

Styes are caused by bacterial infection. Frequent application of hot packs can bring about drainage and resolution. If not, yuh gotta go to a doc so he can slice it open and give you some drugs. After that stop french kissing your dog.

OK, here is an "Old Wives Remedy" it has worked for me and my children. Get a wide gold ring , rub it on your pants, shirt, or other piece of clothing until it gets hot from the friction- place it on the site of the sty. It will feel good and the sty will go away.

Hot compress like everyone says, dont touch it and you can get prescription eye drops to help the infection. Good luck!

You need to leave it alone and get some topical antibiotics from your doctor. But don't play with it or or irritate it, it will only get worse.
