Please, try not to speculate. If you know the true scoop, please answer.
Everyone knows that the big sports, the money-makers, like Football and Basketball at the top sports schools require a significant time investment from the players. How do they do that, and still keep up with classes? Is it true that the schools don't really expect much from them and allow them to cheat or have others do their work for them, or pass them regardless of how well they do?

While cheating and sandbagging do exist, for the most part the student- athletes have tutors, as well as a designated study time set by the coach or AD, usually in the early evening. Academic eligibilty is important; Tennessee is going to be playing their bowl game without one of their receivers- he was ruled academically ineligible this week.
