Why can't I download on bittorrent?

I used to be able to download torrents from Bittorrent, but now, whenever I try to download any file at all, the progress bar stays red and the log says something like"problem connecting to tracker, timed out 60 seconds after announce failed" or something like that. And it's not the torrent file or tracker because it happens for every torrent I try to download. I'd appreciate anyone who would give me some advice and would like it if people didn't just suggest that I switch to uTorrent or Azereus because I like Bittorrent. Thanks.

Maybe your ISP is blocking that traffic. Bittorrent traffic is now the largest percentage of the data flowing on the internet. Call them up and ask.
