Why is the federal excise tax still on my phone bill?
It is still listed on my Nov. phone bill. Even though it's just $1.02, shouldn't it be removed with the new tax law?

If it is a local-only plan the excise tax still applies. If it is a bundled service or simply a long distance service, you should not be paying the tax. The best link I could find is attached.

the telephone corporation rep could be attentive to that advice. i could look interior the section for "government expenses & Taxes". in case you do not see "Federal Excise Tax" on your assertion then you definitely weren't charged this tax and would possibly not deduct it out of your earnings tax.
