i hava a small tv monitor i am using for my cc tv camera via rc jack, what..?

the monitor says 12 volts /watts 9.5, and the supply adapter says output dc:12 volts / 500 milliamps, how can you convert the watts/milliamps? is that enough power because my monitor keeps shutting off.

The formula for power states that:

    P (Watts) = V(olts) x I (amps).

Thus, 500 mA (.5A) x 12V = 6 Watts, well below what your monitor is asking for.

For what you need, reverse the equation:

    9.5W / 12V = 0.79166666666666666666666666666667 (according to Windows' calculator)

Get a supply rated for at least 800mA, or 1A (1000mA) to be on the safe side.
