A world of sin?

Killing a man, is that a sin? Of course, it is a sin.

For instance, saddam has been executed today.

But who is the sinner? The judge or the president.

Saddam deserved to die. Consider Satan. He deserved to get banished from heaven because of his pride. Saddam's corrupt pride in leading the country lead to a dictatorship. Pride is the worst sin in God's mind and because Bush thinks God's giving him all the answers Bush wants to use that perspective.

PS: The jury got Saddam killed, not the judge.

PS2: I agree with Sheryl. We're all sinners.

There is nothing in the Bible that says a legal execution is a sin. The same book that contains the commandment "Thou shalt not kill" admonishes people to utilize capital punishment for certain crimes.

Saddam was properly tried for disgusting crimes against humanity, and sentenced and executed justly for his crimes.

Whether or not I'm for capital punishment (I'm not), it happened according to the laws of his country. In perspective, the weight of his death comes nowhere near tipping the scales against the THOUSANDS upon THOUSANDS of civilians he slaughtered in his own country.

Have you seen the photos of mothers holdign children with the chemical poisons rained down from the sky on their bodies?

Perhaps life in prison would go better toward one's sensibilities for those afraid of death, but NOTHING would ever suffice to provide justice for the families of those harmed by this creature.

In the end, the Bible is somewhat silent on the subject of Capital punishment. WAIT WAIT! Jesus stopped the mob from stoning the adulturess! But that wasn't capital punishment after a fair trial held by the state. It was an angry mob taking matters into their own hands. Did Jesus say the two theives hung beside him were wrongly executed?

Saddam is the sinner who was sentenced to death for his crimes. It's not the president's fault nor the judge's fault for what Saddam did.

God told Moses to get rid and kill of all those who would not obey the commandments that He brought down off the mountain, and Moses and all the followers of God obeyed.

Saddam is one of the most evil ever to live and is the spawn of satan. He was justly executed.

Deuteronomy 19:21 And thine eye shall not pity; but life shall go for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot.

This is what God says about it. Praise the Lord!!

This is not a sin and nobody can claim its advantage or disadvantage , this is the punishment given for him for his action. Nobody in this earth can pass away from getting the punishment for their mistakes, Saddam case is another example.

WE ARE ALL SINNERS! Why cant people get that? They are so busy trying to figure out who is "the sinner" in the group. Head's up, if you pass the mirror test....it's you.

The only sinless one was Jesus. This is why he came. And only through his supreme sacrifice are we saved. Nothing more, nothing less.

    Hello

Some people would say that ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of GOD.......

However who am I to judge?

Apparently the Bible is full of men killing men it happens all the time.

    Good luck with your answers

If someone takes a life then their life in return should be taken.

I know everyone interprets their bible differently, but 'an eye for an eye' what more needs said.

Unfortunately parts of our culture still live in the dark ages. If some one hits you hit them back, if you steal I will cut off you hand, if you look at my wife with lust I will poke out your eye or cut off your penis, if you kill you will be killed. Not all of these ideas still exist maybe soon none of them will.
