Why is there never any hot water in the morning at my apartment?

I have my own water heater, I don't use hot water while i'm asleep. Where does my hot water go?

if you mean it takes a long time to get hot water from the tap,

then perhaps you need pipe insulation.

Another answer is to check the operation of your tank thermostat to see if it

is keeping the temp. constant.( put hose on outlet valve at water heater and let it run into drain, check temp.

last, you may need a circulating pump to get the water to you and keep the whole pipe system at a constant temp.

GENERAL NOTE TO ALL: TURNING WATER TEMP. UP DOESN'T GET YOU HOT WATER FASTER, OR LONGER, IT'S JUST HOTTER!

obviously since it heats up other times only 2 things could cause this...one: its on a timer at night and shuts off (which is not my choice for your problem)

or two: someone else is tapped into your water heater and uses it up before you...
