Applying for a US tourist visa from UK?

I am a student in UK from India on one year course, i wanted to go to USA on holidays, can anyone tell me is it possible to apply for a US visa from UK, and what are rules and regulations.

If you are a citizen of India (and only India, i.e. no dual-citizenship), you will need a visa. Check out http://newdelhi.usembassy.gov/nivb.html for more info. You could also contact the US Embassy in London for more help.
