.
.. Start > Settings > Control Panel.
.. and what do you think you will do once you get there .. you couldn't even find it.
.. just give up .. you shouldn't be using a computer.

it doesn't not appear when Windows is still in default settings.
With Windows XP (home or pro version alike) right-click the start menu and choose "properties", "start menu" tab, "personalize" and then the advanced tab. From the list look for "control panel" and make sure that the correct option has been chosen. Then press Ok.
click on the start menu again, the control panel should be on the right hand side of the pop-up window

From the list seem for "deal with panel" and confirm that the right determination has been chosen. Then press ok. click on on the start up menu once more desirable, the deal with panel would should be on the perfect hand aspect of the pop-up window

If you have Windows XP...
1) Click on Start
2) Click on "Control Panel" which is in the right column, 7th option from the bottom
If you're running other versions of Windows...
1) Click start --> Settings --> Control Panel
Good luck!

Must have grown little legs and ran away. Go to My Computer, and on the left under other places, you should find Control Panel.
