How to make a video out of a game?

Question

Pressing print screen helps us take a snap of anything in the screen. Similarly, I want to take a video of something happening in the screen (eg., any game). Can anyone suggest a software for it?

p.s. dont suggest ideas like focusing a video camera to the monitor.

Or you can use a screen capture program called FRAPS.

Well worth the money. The free version leaves a watermark in final video, but at least you can check it out before you buy.
