What are some of the arguments people have made AGAINST MBAs in executive-level positions?

Cadre promotees to Executive positions often find their MBA colleagues too much theoretical in their approach, or too ambitious with their Targets. There is no substitute for Down to Earth experience, and there is no substitute for World beater ambition , driven with unflagging stamina. An upcoming MBA leader should learn as much as possible from his /her field level executive colleagues without getting bogged down much about protocol and ranking. Once he has learnt well,s/ he should motivate the field teams towards accepting the higher goals and and working to achieve them . MBAs are essentially meant for managerial positions , but they need to serve out as Executives to get the proper expertise, before the managerial talent can blossom well.
