    No. Not according to the UN, the Vatican, Human Rights Watch and so many other orgs, Ramsey Clark who quit in disgust, and numerous independent (non-CNN types) journalists on the ground and witnesses to the actual facts.

    By Iraqi standards he was given a fair trial. I do think they executed him too fast and did not give him a proper chance to appeal his sentence like in most of the Western world. Nor did they give him and his accusers the opportunity to stand trial on the other charges against him. But what can you expect since Iraq is not the west.

    Once captured, the trial was mostly a formality, the end was mostly already assured.
