orthodontist...?

are there any dentists or orhdontists that do charity work for people unable to afford the procedures?? or give breaks on the cost of the procedures?? i was told that there are but not sure. i live in the chicago area. thanks

    There are plenty of good hearted dentists that will give substantial

    breaks on their dental work. Just search by your zipcode on the

    web sites below.

    I don't know about the Chicago area specifically, but I do know that in my area, people can get dental work done at low costs through hospitals -normally "teaching" hospitals- hospitals that are associated with a college. I'm not sure how much of a break you could get on orthodontics since that is a cosmetic-type procedure rather than a health concern like general dental care, but the dentist might be able to refer you to someone!

    You actually live near a dental school where you can become a patient and have ortho done for a lot less....
