I want to use skype telephone calls. What exactly do I need? software, skype compatible phone? whhich one?

Please tell me exactly what i need. phone any specifications, how cheap or expensive? Do the phne have to be connected to the PC or can I have a cordless phone? software is the down loadable copy from the skype site okay? headset do i need one ?

so you are saying that I really do not need a phone. I can just download the software, connect a headset/mcrophone and thats it. Can u urecommend a particular headset OR any will do
