Because there really is no true upside or downside its all relative, The Universe itself is practically designed to be reversible. Think about it. In a void there are no forces acting upon you so relatively your a directionless object. Its only when A force like gravity is acting on you that the theory of direction is realizable. And since the Earth is round every object is drawn directly down towards the center of the Earth which also explains why the Earth itself is round. The definition of a circle is a shape from which an infinte amount of lines can be drawn from one point to form the shape of the cirle. Put that in three dimensions and you have a sphere. So I guess you can think of yourself as one of the infinite lines being drawn towards the center of the earth. Clear things up?

If a person stands on their head, they feel like they're upside down. But all joking aside, gravity and the inner ear are what causes a person to feel like they aren't upside down, no matter where they are on earth. This is also very important for the body's balance. It's why you don't fall over while you stand or walk.

The feeling of being upside down is generated when the brain detects gravity pulling the body up (instead of down). As long as the brain senses gravity pulling down (towards the feet), a human being will not feel like they are upside down.

But I -do- feel like I'm upside down; whenever I am in fact upside down.

I don't understand your question at all.

[edit] Oh, NOW I see what you mean.

Like, why don't the people on the "underside" of the Earth, down in Australia or wherever, not just- like- fall off...?

gravity always pulls towards the center. we are born and completely existant on something that does more than spin. it travels through space at thousands of miles per hour. we percieve things in a somewhat relative manner, and in our reference frame, you're sense of being upside down can be tricked or lost as happens to divers in murky water can become disoriented and swim the wrong way.

in case you have been in area you won't comprehend an up or a down, there isn't any direction, so on a scale as huge as Earth, we have not have been given any concept if we are below or over the Earth, or to the left or ideal of it for that rely, so we continuously experience ideal area up.
