To me the best thing about Reader's Digest are all the little True Life funny stories. That and the Word Power quiz.

I'm a teenager and I love reading Reader's Digest. It's got news stories, vocabulary games, and jokes. It's for all ages and yet still fun. You get loads of information and jokes from reading Reader's Digest and it is definitely worth it.

One of the best things about the Reader's Digest is that it can be read by people of all ages. There are articles that can facinate anybody. It does not deal only with health, Hollywood, etc. It has an all round appeal. Some articles deal with people's past experiences and near death accidents. The interview with celebrities always gives us the best on Hollywood or Bollywood hotties's life. The jokes are always great, Life's Like That displays the humorous and yet embarresing situations people get themselves into. As Kids See It- an insite into a child's innocent and cheeky mind. Oh, how many times I wouldn't stop laughing after reading these great jokes, that truely make my day!!'Everyday Heroes' always make us proud of those good citizens of the world, who are, sadly, in a minority. Word Power- the title says it all- mind bending times when you have to sqeeze your brain to figure out the meaning of those tricky words. RDLiving gives the latest facts, advice, news and fun, regarding Health, Travel, Food and careers. RD Challange is one for those who dare to try the most difficult. It is always non the last few pages and after one finishes solving it, he/she tends to exclaim- "Wah! The Last was saved for the best. I just can't wait toget my hands on the next month's edition!!" Most of these topics come under 'departmaent', a list of topics that feature in every issue. There are other articles covering a major part of the index, filled with interesting articles, with good reference to some polls and ways to loose weight. Now one may ask- whatdoes RD have that all other magazines don't have? well, most other magazines have articles that are headlines in the newspaper and the TV news. they are not new, the most unheard would be interviews with the victim's family or the accused's family. These articles have the same format, which at times seems no different from the news paper. On the other hand, RD dealswith aricles that have never been heard of, or have never been given importance to. There are articles from all corners of the world, all about life, travel, dangerous experiences, and so on. If there is an article about obese children, then real life situations will be given alongside, and how the poor child was rescused and given a better future and so on. These aricles are out-of the blue types which make us think a lot and improve us in some little way. Secondly, most magazines focus on only monotonus topic- heath, travel, pregnancy, etc. But RD is, as I mentioned earlier, has articles concerning all spheres of life. Thirdly, magazines have phases, when the articles are so boring that the reader rebgrets reading the article, and want to cancel the subscription. But RD always gurentees the best, breath taking articles that are enough to make you whine for more.

What do you get from reaqding a goodbook like Reader's Digest? Everything a reader may ask for, things that bring tears to our eyes, make us laugh till we fall, make us appreciate everything good around us. Knowledge, advice and Jokes are the central focus of the mini magazine. May it be jokes or accidents, facts or fiction, RD surely knows how to get the reader's nose into its monthly edition.

I've been perusing Reader's Digest for twenty years now, and I do enjoy the humor and the broad variety of literary resources that the publication presents. It's much better than the more specifically-themed publications, giving much more diverse interests an equal voice.
