Well, I am not sure what an "outrageous" price is. But I buy almost all my new books from this place. But there is no guarantee that he will have any Peter Hamilton books in stock. They buy print over runs, old stock, etc. They will send you a free catalog every month. And you can search for a specific title on line. There shipping and handling is very low too. Been using them for years now.

The Barnes and Noble ad says this book is brand new and under 8 bucks. Is that outrageous?

Amazon has the same brand new book as Barnes and Noble at about the same price.

Do it the old fashioned way and look for book dealers;that you can reach by telephone .Speak to them and see if they carry what you need.If you locate one and you "click" they may even order for you.You get the books you want and if you're a serious reader (who pays your bill)-you will have a dealer who will go out of their way to find books for you.I dealt with the same man for 22 years until he retired and I feel like I lost a good friend.

dig the earth, you will find it. You could also get a badge of archaelogist. You dont have to spend more money and can find the oldest of all but the problem is that you have to clean the mud and earthworms present on it.

    half.com

It's run by eBay but you don't bid, you order. It's the coolest place. I think you'll find what you're looking for and for cheap too.

Oh, and you can get new or used books.

So, what you are trying to say is that you want to find used books?
