Yes, of course. In fact I'm a bibliophile, a book lover, however, I mean I love reading and collecting them. I have no intention to sell them in the future and for some reasons I'd trade-in some second-hand ones for more interesting titles/authors.

To the query on what they enable me, I'm sure we can learn a lot through our reading as well as pure enjoyment from good narratives with wonderful words/phrases expressed by great characters. Therefore, we can acquire more wisdom by means of wise reading since Dr Samuel Johnson (1709-1784) aptly said, "You can never be wise unless you love reading" from which I mostly agree with him on one condition, that is, such reading should be wisely executed like scholars do so that such knowledge from reading can be your solid foundation to further your advanced studies or research.

Since years ago, I've decided to buy, read and collected more hardcover books as well as good paperbacks including some classics as listed in the web site below. However, some are not in the list, it's my own interest like

    1. The Cairo Trilogy by Naguib Mahfouz

    2. A Suitable Boy by Vikram Seth

    3. To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee

    4. Woman Warrior by Maxine Hong Kingston

    5. The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie by Muriel Spark, etc.

I remember a quote from an author who wrote a most erudite book on reading and said, "browsing is often the most educational".

Throughout the years I could not agree with him anymore! Many of the most memorable books I have read came from browsing. Go to the library or bookstore and browse and you will see this to be very true.

I love to read. I'm very bad because I seem to start many books at once. Right now I am reading Cathy's Book and Series of unfortunate events: The Slippery slope.

well I love reading(novels).Novels give me such a great interest. It is kind of rest for me to read, when I enter another world and meet new people which aren't in the real world but I can believe them when reading.Books can affect my emotions greatly as sometime I cry and become so sad because something has happened to a character.

    Books are great.

Mostly audiobooks. I just finished listening to, Friction, by E. R. Frank. It's really good. If you read it, I would love for you to answer a question on it I just posted.

yes, i am. i like the poems written by william wordsworth.A good book provides more words to my vocabulary, more ideas to use and to observe things more carefully by using the phrases knitted in the books.
