what makes the 2000 cadillac seville STS more powerful then the 2000 cadillac seville SLS.?

The STS has more horsepower obiously. The SLS is meant to be more luxurious. Thats why STS means Seville Touring Sedan and SLS means Seville Luxury Sedan. I think the STS is 300 HP and the SLS is 279 HP. I dont exactly know what makes the STS more powerful, thats just how they make it.

They are the same car, but different trim levels. (One is fancier and has more gadgets than the other) They have the same engine, and same amount of power.
