Is Mc'Donalds' Food Really More Expensive in Hawaii?
I've heard this is true because of import tax, but is Mc'donalds' food more expensive than the 48 bordering states' prices??

It is higher because of taxes, and also because of transportation costs.

Yeah - if their workers are making similar wages to those in the 48 contiguous states, then Hawai'ian stores have to charge more to cover product transportation costs and such.

YES! I just got back from Maui, and while we didn't eat a McDonald's we ate at other fast food restaurants and at Carl's Jr. we paid about $9 for EACH meal... other fast food chains were about the same.
