does caffeine affect fitness and make you gain weight?

    Coffee does Not cause you to gain weight, It is the cream and sugar put into the coffee that will cause weight gain. Caffeine will speed up the metabolism but cream and sugar will add fat calories.

    I know that some diets claim that caffeine stimulates your appetite, in the same way that sugar and carbs do. I believe the Atkins diet says you should cut out caffeine. But as I recall, the South Beach said it was ok. I figure you need to experiment with your own body and see what happens.

    Caffeine is really a false positive. Unless you ingest mega-doses of caffeine you will not lose weight. Caffeine will give you the munches just before the crash and burn.
