Hawaii is a state. You aren't immigrating anywhere. You don't need a green card to move to Ohio. So you don't need one to go to Hawaii.

Hawaii is one of the States within the United States of America.

American citizens may travel to any of the fifty states without a passport. Some sort of picture ID is required to board US Aircraft.

Green Card is issued to persons of other nationalities, that have been given permission to immigrate, have a permanent US VISA, are living in the United States, but they have not completed the US Citizen test.

If you are a US citizen you do not need a green card as Hawaii is just another state

Not if you're an American. Hawaii is one of our states. If you are from another country you need a visa to visit there just as you would any of the other states.

I have a friend, that only has a U.S. driver's license, he went to Hawaii 1 month ago, without problems.

P.S. contact an attorney, just in case...

If you aren't from the U.S. or it's Territories, yes. But, that's not for just a visit. A visa would cover a visit.

No. Just tunnel your way over like it was any other state.
