Christians: do you believe your prayers are answered more frequently than people of other faiths?

Or, if you follow a particular denomination, do you believe your prayers are answered more frequently than those of denominations (e.g. Mormons, Jehovas Witnesses, Cathloics, Babtists)?

No, God works the same with all people. It doesn't matter what religion as long as they believe that Jesus is the son of God.

I am LDS. I believe all people no matter what denomination have the right to speak to our Heavenly Father through prayer.

I do believe, however, one cannot use the power of God, the Priesthood, in "prayer" such as blessing and healing the sick, performing ordinances, or other instances where the Priesthood is used, without having it. The Priesthood is given to worthy males from others who already hold it.

Others who do not hold the Priesthood may still bless or in some instances even heal people, but I do not believe that is of God if the proper power is not used.

No, God has ears...He can hear the prayers of all. He answers in methods that we must observe in our lives. God answers prayers by either no, yes, or wait. A non-believer won't pray to God for his needs because He does not know God...if he did and was seeking for God...God would reveal Himself to the non-believer. If you think answering prayer is just God saying yes...then I suggest you look again into what you think prayer is.

No. All prayers that are righteous qualified prayers are answered one way or another, in all denominations.

The key words are "righteous and qualified" (meaning if a little girl prays for a pony and a rollercoaster in her backyard, she's probably not going to get it; that's just not how prayer works).

No, God answers our prayers all equally. There are many religions but only 1 God . If people would understand this then there would be no wars.

The bible teaches that the absolute requirement for prayer is faith, which includes doing what one knows to be right (even if that knowledge results only from one's inborn conscience). Jehovah God does not listen to the insincere prayers of willfull wrongdoers, but He does listen to the sincere prayers of those with an incomplete knowledge of Him.

(Isaiah 1:15-18) Even though you make many prayers, I am not listening; with bloodshed your very hands have become filled. Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean; remove the badness of your dealings from in front of my eyes; cease to do bad. Learn to do good; search for justice... Come, now, you people, and let us set matters straight between us,” says Jehovah

(Matthew 21:22) And all the [proper] things you ask in prayer, having faith, you will receive.

Jehovah's Witnesses are careful to do three interesting things when they pray.

    1. Witnesses pray from the heart, rather than repeating some rehearsed prayer..

(Matthew 6:7-9) [Jesus said] But when praying, do not say the same things over and over again, just as the people of the nations do, for they imagine they will get a hearing for their use of many words. 8 So, do not make yourselves like them, for God your Father knows what things you are needing before ever you ask him. 9 “You must pray, then, this way: “‘Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified

    2. Witnesses pray using the personal name of Jehovah.

(Matthew 6:9) [Jesus said] You must pray, then, this way: “‘Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified

(Psalm 83:18) That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth.

    3. Jehovah's Witnesses pray in the name of Jesus Christ.

(Ephesians 5:20) In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ giving thanks always for all things to our God and Father.

(Colossians 3:17) And whatever it is that you do in word or in work, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, thanking God the Father through him.

(1 Thessalonians 5:18) In connection with everything give thanks. For this is the will of God in union with Christ Jesus respecting you.

    prayer doesnt work.

bible says that with faith the size of a mustard seed one can move mountains.

it also says ask and you shall recieve, knock and the door shall be opened.

and last i checked, i havent seen any amputees grow an arm or leg back... EVER. so now i wonder, im sure they prayed that they could have an arm again, how come? lack of faith? or biblical lie?

now christians will say, "only if its in god's will, will they get their arm back or some miraculous event happen"

that is putting things in a completely different context, nowhere in the whole bible does it say that. stop making excuses.

No.I do not think one of a different belief or denominations has prayers answered more. I think prayers are answered in your faith.

This is evident when you watch the Superbowl. It is very clear that god favors one team over another, as the winners always thank god for their victory. Just figure out and follow whatever religion those players are, and you should be safe.
