Service to his country and honoring his commitments meant little to Bush. He got a pass out of Vietnam duty by joining and agreeing to serve in the Guard. There's little doubt that he shirked this obligation, and that the US wasted 200,000 on his pilot's training.

I can relate to this. George Bush President of the United States is a man without honor. He has spread shame on America, it's Constitution, and it's People. It is a highly embarrassing situation for every Good American. This Man has spun completely out of control and he needs to be stopped immediately. President Bush has reduced and discounted himself to nothing more then a mere "pedofile" and "War Criminal."

Dan...Dan Rather...Is that you??? Your avatar and pseudonym can't hide your true identity. I wondered what happened to you. Still sticking to that old made-up story, I see....just resorting to putting out of the internet now. Quite a comedown for you, isn't it? Apparently, some people never learn.

I'm not sure he did,you aren't either.I don't know whether anyone pulled strings for him or not.I do know this it was NOT hard to get into the National Guard in 1969.I personally know many people who joined,Air NG included, I also know people who joined the Naval reserve. These are not people of privilege by any means.Maybe In Texas it was different, but in NJ all you had to do is ask.

He had some fund raising to do. My guess is that since he most of the last year and a half fund raising that that's his thing. He hasn't been able to get anything else right in his whole life.

Because he listened to 'flower power'. Give it a rest dude! The 2000 election was 6 yrs ago. Deal with the present. If you want to change the power structure, then vote against it not ***** about it

Uh what the hell? Wouldnt you?

His family had money, it happens.

His dad pulled strings and got him into the National Guard to keep him from being killed.

A plain and a simple answer will be - He was afraid of the Vietnamese soldiers for his own life. :(

Because he knew that his daddy would get him out of any trouble that came about. As an officer he should have been court marshaled.

The documents that CBS news reported on were NEVER proved fake, but they are still "Questionable". Still there are a lot of unanswered questions about dubya's 'service record'.
