Why is my keyboard not working right?

When I type, some letters won’t always appear, and sometimes random keys will just not do anything or make a space, like the space bar. All the keys are doing this at random times. I have tried a different keyboard, it has a similar problem.

Update:

If you want to know how I typed this, I said random keys at random times, I can fix words that don't type right.

Update 2:

Also, keys will sometimes type the wrong letter, and I make sure its the right key.

Try another keyboard. if this doesn't fix it

Try a usb port keyboard -could be the port

    If keyboard doesn't work return.

    Doesn't Fix.

Get a key board with a loading disc with it.

This should reinstate any default keystoke issue.

You can unscrew bottom of keyboard take parts apart in order and make a diagram of part locations. Look at plastic ussually seethrough mylar make sure not obstructed. wash mylar and let dry. Wash front or top of case with keys to make sure no obstruction. If you find it

Keyboards form part of the user interface and a keyboard problem can be very annoying. Sometimes the keyboard drivers can get corrupted. Some of the problems can be fixed . I have found the details given at http://fixit.in/keyboard.html is more useful. Try here, if you can what you are searching for...!

Since another keyboard is doing the same thing, it would lead me to believe it's a port issue. Are those keyboards plugging into a PS/2 port? Try connecting it through a USB port instead (if you have a PS/2 to USB connector). If that doesn't help, it's a software or driver problem.

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.
