the height of a conical tent is 3m and its semi vertical angle is 45 degrees.?

if the height and the semi vertical angle is increased by 5 percent each,show that the surface area of the tent increases by 21.78%.

please helppppppppppppp!!!!!!

    First, find the slant height of the cone

    this is a trig function

    ht is 3 metres and angle is 45 degrees

    solve this and it will give you the radius of the circle

    then find the circumference of the circle

    The formual for the area of the cone is:

    Perimter (circumference) of base x 1/2 slant height

    When you have found this

    add 5% to the 3 m and then do the calculations over again to see if it is indeed 21.78% increase.

    check again by adding 5% to the (3M +5%) and then do it all over again to see if it is again a 21.78% increase
