Get very interested in her problems and try to talk a lot with her about those problems. Try to make her feel that you feel and think the same like her en give a lot of attention to her feelings. When you get such a close relationship with her, then she will take your advice, when you explain that psychologists can help giving good insights in to certain problems.

Assuming she really does need counseling and it is not you that has an inability to get along with a co-worker.... wait until she is having a really bad day coping with her job and or co-workers and offer some suggestions like "You seem really stressed" and maybe suggest a book that was recommended to you to find ways to lower stress in your life. Be a friend and supportive otherwise leave it up to your boss. The employer should be the one to handle office difficulties. Your co-worker works for them not you. There is an incentive to listen to the advice of their employer..... the stake of their livelyhood. If the boss says he is seeing dificulties with his/her working skills, that is the proper method of addressing it in a polite yet helpful way. In a meeting behind closed doors, the boss can suggest some ideas like a support group, etc if he/she cannot resolve the problems on their own. The boss has the right to expect that an employees performance is up to the job requirements. It is not handled any differently than any other job-related issue.

People do not easily take someone elses opinion of how they should live their life. They have to see a need to change and want to change. I can be supportive and give feedback on how using a different approach I use for MYSELF helps me cope or do the right thing. People will listen better if I talk about myself because I am relating what has worked for me and it is not judgemental. So if you want to help and be a friend keep that in mind.

When you feel righteous and ready to suggest treatment for others, may be it is time to analyze yourself on how sane you are. Nobody is perfect, there is a keyword called "tollerence" and if you don't have that, you may have to tell everybody in the world to get a psychological counselling.

Are you a psychologist, or a psychiatrist? Then who are you to even suggest such a thing?

To even consider confronting her with such a thing is outrageous on your part.

It sounds like you're the one who needs some psychological counseling in proper social behavior.

First try to confront her and if that doesn't work I would make a private meeting with your boss. Mention to your boss that you can tell that your co-worker is acting odder then usual and you are cocerned for her and recommend therapy. I hope that helps.

You would first have to get very deeply involved in her life before she would accept your advice. Is that something you want? Crazy people can be very draining.

You are better off letting her figure her life out herself.

You need to get your head checked. You're out of your mind.

Don't tell her directly ,she may not like it.tell her you look stressed, you are under work pressure, why don't you take a break or approach a counselor.Don't welcome suffering.
