Why do some people automatically assume I'm a guy?

Because I'm a woman!

It gotten so bad that someone accused me of being obsessed with children and a pedophile and gay(my dream post)

So why do people on yahoo answers automatically assume everyone's a guy on here?

Update:

Is that better?

It's your avatar (or lack thereof, I guess) because it looks male. People look for an avatar and assume that since you have a male appearance (which is what they put for everyone that didn't select an avatar) that you must be male.

The new default avatars that Yahoo came out with look like males only.

Those grey generic avatars are a bit of a problem

This new grey avatars don't help any! Unless you have a female avatar or obvious female name, I think the assumption is going to be that you are male based on your not changing your avatar's picture. Sorry!!

Because where your avatar should be is the shadowed outline of a masculine figure.

Because your avatar is in the form of a shadowed man. You should change your avatar.

you need a picture up. the silhouette looks male, therefore everyone thinks male. first look is the photo not the name.
