How I should write date in english sentences, formally and informally?
- dollhausLv 71 decade agoFavorite Answer
One note of warning; US practice is Month - Day - Year.
In Europe, you will find Day - Month - Year.
Informally, several choices (US):
12/25/06 or 12/25/2006 - perhaps most common
12-25-06 or 12-25-2006
Just 12/25 if year is obvious.
Dec. 25, 2006 - could be used for formal also
December 25, 2006
Monday, December 25, 2006 also possible.
