From your name, I am assuming you must be Muslim (if I'm wrong, then pardon me.) I'm a Muslim woman myself so let ME answer this.

Putting religion aside, let's say your wife one day decides to take on a second husband. How would you feel when she is making love (not just having sex) to another man on a day when she's not with you?

I bet you will be heartbroken, unless of course, if you're an unfeeling bastard. Now, multiply that heartbreak by 10. That is how EVERY WOMAN feels when she's in a polygamous relationship.

Hope this helps and good luck for the future!

I am a Muslim and I still say NO even he's nice and loves me so so so much! Why? Okay here is it:

-I sympathize the feeling of his first wife since I am also a woman, I can imagine how would I feel if I will be his first wife and my hubby will gonna marry another lady, it hurts!

    - there's always trouble in polygamy especiall the first wife don't agree for the husband's second marriage

    - even he loves me so much, his attention will always be devided between me and his first wife, everything will be shared between us two wives...Huhhh, I hate it!

    - it will make me sinful since my mind will explore into many imaginations when he is with his first wife...jealousy cannot be avoided that time.

    - many reasons........................

You know what, I don't have right or wrong answer for your question, but think it this way, most of people who answered this question will agree that it may happen that (I mean women) it is possible to fall in love with a married man, and even if this man doesn't divorce his wife usually this relation lasts for years hurting everybodies feelings.

I'm not telling you that being "second" in somebodies life is right, it's just that it's not just about poligamy, more than that, I think that poligamy is in some way better than having an affair with married man for a long time.

It's your deceision, if it is o.k with you first of all to be second in something than there is no problem with terminology.

No! Not just No but H-LL NO!

Why would you want to be number 2 in any mans world? So he can feel superior to everyone else? Why in the world would he ask such a thing? And where is the first wife?

YIKES this is just plain NOT right!

Find a true love and be happy! Don't settle for anything less.

Putting polygamy aside. . . i'll not be second to any other woman, in a marriage or any other type of relationship. To be second pick, kept off to the side, not for a day, not for months, not for any period of time . . . not this woman. He might love her and be nice as you say...but does he cherish, value and honor that second woman . . . not likely. Would he like to be second man...kept off to the side...I don't think so.

I say never trust a man who believes in polygamy. No matter how much he claims to love you, he is denying your right and the right of his wife.

I advice you to get out of it, it is just a complicated situation that you cant face it.

Be sure if you dont give him a good lesson in life, after you, he is going for the third one.

    Good luck and be carefull

Marriage is a very sacred thing ment for a man and a woman, not a man and TWO or more women. It could be his belief that it is ok and he uses it to justify it but I view it as disrespect. It's like somethign is actually saying, hey it's ok to cheat and your religion or whateevr says so. It's horse crap! Find someone who will love you and only you and respect you. He is not it!!

That would depend on what the word wife means to you and what form of religion you follow, would it not? If you are submissive enough to take seconds, or you want threesomes, then it's up to you.
