    every1 does...u get ur points by answering questions, voting 4 a best answer,visiting ur account.....

    Thats the way this site works, you lose 5 points for asking and gain 2 points for answering. If you are chosen as best answer you get 10 points.

  • You lose 5 points when you ask a question, but if you choose a "best answer" then you get 3 points back. So choose my answer as "the best"...lol. That is how it works.

    That's the way yahoo answers is set up. It costs five points to ask a question. It's supposed to prevent the idiots from asking a bunch of stupid questions.

    Because Yahoo Answers is designed for people to get answers to questions. Charging points for asking a questions is a way of reducing frivolous questions. This doesn't seem to have been very successful though.
