Can I connect My Yamaha Keybaord to my computer to use it with finale?!?
I have a yamaha psr-290, with a midi in and a midi out.. I have a gateway laptop. does anyone know what i need to connect the two?

You will need a MIDI interface unit ("MIDI box"). Music stores sell them; so do some computer stores. Depending on features, your MIDI box will probably cost between US$30 and US$100. Also get a couple of MIDI cables.
Once you've got all that, connect the keyboard's MIDI ports to those on the MIDI box, and connect the MIDI box to the computer. Install drivers for the MIDI box if necessary (probably not). Your computer and keyboard should now be able to talk to each other.
