where from did the sun get initial energy to rotate?

First we have to prove whether the Sun is really rotating or not. If yes, the energy generated from the initial collision upon which all planets are rotating.

Ever watch water go down a drain, or a figure skater pulling her arms in close to her body as she spins?
When the cloud that formed the sun and the solar system began to condense smaller and smaller under gravity it began to spin, like the water funneling into a whirlpool. That is why the sun rotates and why planets are circling it rather than falling into it.
