    You can download Adobe Photoshop Album for free. You can use the program to resize your images and send them straight from the program through Outlook Express.

    You can use Picture Resize Genius to resize your pictures. Besides, Picture Resize Genius can add a text overlay (watermark), rename file and keep all metadata information (for example: EXIF,Tiff Tags) and creating datetime for your pictures.

    you could zip them before you send them, but that might be a hassle. open the image in paint, and then go to Save As, and change the format to a JPG. this should decrease the file size..

    this means you dont have to buy any software :)
