This will probably get tons of thumbs downs but here me out:

Thats like asking, 'Hate, illusion or reality?' Clearly both are emotions that exist.

Also, please don't become like most people who have let this world make turn emotionally cold and bitter, and against any form of real love. Don't become a lemming. Fight it, and find what your looking for. Only cowards give up.

I do not know why you posted this question in this forum, but I will apply it to this forum by saying this:

Christ dieing on the cross for you and me, was that an illusion or reality? Depends on your belief in Him or your unbelief in Him, right? An illusion does not shed blood so one can be forgiven, and an illusion does not arise again to eternal life so we may also have that assurance IF we follow Him and try to do as He asks of us, which is nothing hard. It takes very little to show love, (a mans way), but it cost Him His Life, which He gave in our place freely. No one could have done what He did except Him as there is NO OTHER NAME under heaven that a man can be saved. Hope this helps.

First define love, some would say emotion. I say love is a choice which can be associated with emotion. For instance you are having a candlight dinner with the person of your dreams, as you stare at them across the table everything feels so right. That same night when you wake up from the sound of snoring , you look across the bed and see drool. You wont feel the same.

Reality. Love is an emotion that has evolved because it was useful in convincing primates to have intercourse with one another, which would lead to babies which, due to the love, would be taken care of early in life. The reason that it tends not to last is because the most evolutionarily effective method of spreading your genes is to havea child and concentrate on raising it until you are sure it will live, and then leaving it to go raise another one. The only reason either parent feels attatchment towards their young is because their genes evolved to want their genes to be successfully passed on. Hope this helps, maybe you will find solace in the fact that the reason he leaves you, or you him is mostly based on genetics, not personal whim or weakness. :)

My partner and I have been together over 32 years. Every couple experiences rough spots, but it sure has been worth it! No thanks to christians, I might add.

If you're afraid of people, get a dog from the animal shelter. You'll know true love then.

Don't be afraid of love. Love is the most wonderful feeling you will ever know. Love isn't a guarantee but it is well worth the risk. xx

love is a state of mind. It may lead to hurt, bur it's worth it.

There is nothing like the feeing of being in love (as long as it is reciprocal)

Better to have loved and lost than to have never loved in the first place. OLD QUOTE.

It's a great rush. Your brain releases PEA ( phenylethalamine )That's one of the reasons you feel upbeat when you fall in love. It's one of the best "legal' highs one can get.
