competitive cousin?

im 20 and my cousin is 17, and since we've been little girls there's always been this competitiveness between us. everything i got, she got. the stakes have been getting higher and higher as we've gotten older. 2 years ago there was talk of me getting a car for christmas. then her parents talk about getting her a car for her birthday (in march). christmas came and went and i didn't get my car. march gets here and she get's her car for her birthday. i get mine 3 months later. just recently i brainstorm about getting a new car, and not even a month goes by and she get's a new car. this really pisses me off because she can ask for something and get it the next day and i can't. i may sound jealous, but im not. im just tired of her biting off my idea's. please tell me what you think.

I have a jelouse cousin ( she is 32 believe it or not). She has alwasy been jelouse of myself ( I'm 27 ) and my younger cousin( who is 26). Jelousy is the green eyed monster and is considered evil in some religions because it is so vindictive and causes pain. I would just keep your ideas to yourself and let your cousin do what she wants. Your time will come to shine and it should not be with materialistic things. I bet you are a lot brighter and more sucessfult han she is. Good luck

My cousin and I are also competitive. She's pretty jealous because I am the prettier one. I'm also quite a bit smarter, and lets face it people like me better. But I don't think your cousin "stole" your idea to get a car. Everybody wants a new car...it's not exactly a new phenomenon. So basically you need to get over it because someday your cousin may be your work partner and you just can't let her insane jealousy get the better of you.

bite off her idea? Nah... be the better person. Enjoy the fact that she is taking up YOUR MARVELOUS ideas. Being family, you should be supportive, encouraging, caring... be happy for whatever she's doing. Even if she does take your ideas, I don't think she does it to hurt you... maybe she wanna be cool. But I don't know, I don't know much about her or what's going on.

A long time ago, me and my cousin were friends, but we became competitive... and look at us now, we don't talk to each other anymore... Something that I really regret and really miss.

Just let it go. She's 17, and you're much more mature now. Sooner or later she will get tired of it. And at least be proud because you actually work hard for what you get. SHE doesn't. That is something she will never be able tp beat you at.

Tell her you are going on a 3 month cruise on a luxury liner. You might not see her for 6. Lol. Don't worry about her till you get married; she'll probably want your husband.

i think that you need to grow up and stop your whining. write a blog on the subject, don't make us sit through it. you are an adult who is acting just as spoiled as the 17 year old. i had to buy my own damn cars, and you're talking about replacing one that's 2-3 years old?! i wish i had your problems. stop talking to her.

quit telling her your intentions then she cant "copy" you. and if she gets everything she wants just by asking do you think she appreciates it? She cant compete if you not in the running. Recognize your feelings then let them go no sence in wasting time on something you cannot controll...
