i want to add a 250GB HD along my existing 80GB HD. Does it matter which is master/slave?

    Your Bios might want the larger to be the master.

    I have an 80GB master and 160gB secondary. If your bios is up to date you should be ok doing either.

    well yes because if you have two masters then one or the other wont work,may i sudgest you put the 80 Gb As Master And The 250 As the slave, use 250 gb for storage Mainly use the hd that has the OS Partition already on it as master

    usually the slave takes all the punishment. I like to be the master this way I can shoot my load wherever I want. You havent lived till you tie a girl like a hog and get to do anythng and put it anywhere you want to.

    just set the jumper in ur motherboard to set which is master and which is slave
