Yes, I think there are a few romantic people left in this world. I have been married to the same beautiful woman for over 50 years and hope to be with her for the rest of my life, she was 17 years old and I was 20 when we got married, I still remember to get flowers and gifts for her on special days, and a new Buick for her every 2 or 3 years that is for her on use and she buys me a new truck when mine gets too old to be seen in. She has her day out about twice a week for shopping or visiting. We never go to bed angry and always express our love fo each other. We have always trusted each other even when I was overseas in some God forsaken country such as Korea, Guam, and Vietnam. It takes a special kind of woman to put up with a Soldier for 27 years but we always made it through some dark hours when I ended up in the hospital with a bullet wound and malaria etc. Yes I think she is the greatest woman in the world and now we have time to travel to other countries and other places.

I am, and I live in Arizona. My idea of romance is showing thoughtfulness in every action, it's surprising a girl with flowers, or cooking a candlelit dinner. It's taking her out and making her feel appreciated. It's all those things, but it's more than that. It's the way I look into a girls eyes. It's in the way I hold her hand. It's in the way I stroke her hair at night. To me, romance is about showing love through actions and gestures.

I loved going to the beach at sunset... we use to sit on the edge of the rocks that overlooked the orange-lit ocean... when the sun had set, and the stars came out, we would point out all the constellations that we knew (even tho it wasn't very many), or just talk about everything that comes to mind, and most of the time relax and enjoy the time together... including a joint or two.

Romance is just a state of mind.

Romance ? Do you want to know where is it ? In books, of course. Not in real life, really.

Oh... so many... It's just not fashionable to admit to optimism and hope.

Romance...? So subjective... starry nights and starry eyes. A weight of love in your chest. A divine glimpse of humanity. Moments... frozen in time... where beauty is real and possibility is the only option.

I like my guys to be romantic but not over the top. If a guy likes you he should get to know you and try to do things that he knows that you'd like. lets be honest though girls, we like our men to be men, not softies and flowers die and chocolate gives you pimples, picnics get boring, and geeks who stand under your window either singing love ballads or reciting poetry are known as stalkers.

Huh... Romantic is depending on whoever you are referring to. Different people percieve romantic as different things, so my idea of romantic would be whatever my girlfriends idea of it is...

I think I'm romantic. I love to say "i love you." I love to love. i love being physical. I love chick flicks, chocolates, roses and formal dates (nice resturaunts). my boyfriend and my last boyfriend were both very romantic. so yes, there are romantic people out there.
