Writing a good tune is the hardest thing to do when your goal is to write a good tune. I'm not saying that you have to want to write a bad song but, you should write songs or stories based on what rings true for you. One way of getting started which nearly always works for me is by setting limitations. This will allow you to exercise certain areas of your writing that might not be as confident as others. For example, trying writing something that makes a strong use of the double entendre. Or trying to personify certain things in different tenses or styles. So, if you're going to write a song about a tree, don't write about how it has leaves and is made of wood. Make it a living breathing thing. Make it something that is capable of complex thought, emotion or conversation. Overall, remember to take risks and don't be afraid to write something which isn't of the best quality.

1 You can find many writing schools just if you Google "writing schools" (see examples below)

Some are good, some are better ... I experienced it myself. However, never forget that even the greatest masters cant turn you into a writer if you are not feeling that urgency to write.

2 You can also attend creative classes, at universities for example.

The more you write, the more experience you get. Write whenever you feel like it. Even if it comes out like crap, you'll get better as you practice.
