Focus less on yourself when you are around other people. Make goals for yourself that would help you move in that direction. Find their pleasures and pains. Be interested in them.

Start with who or whatever interests you.

Love is a give and take on every facet.

You have to love yourself before you can know what love is. Once you do...externalize that love you feel for yourself and learn to love someone more than your love yourself. Love is a transition of complete selfishness to selflessness.
