hopefully blapath's computer will do the same. if the model 70 is pre-1974 you have collectors that would be interested in the rifle. otherwise probably 700 to 800

I think this guy selling this one is high....but you never know.
"The pre-'64 Model 70's were manufactured from 1936 through 1963 after which time significant changes in the design and manufacture of the rifles were made. Pre-'64 Model 70s bring a very premium price due to a public perception that the had several desirable features (controlled round feed, cut cheeckering) that the post-'64 did not have. Pre-'64 Model 70 Winchester rifles can best be identified by serial number. Model 70 rifles with serial numbers below 700,000 are the pre-'64 variety."Source(s): http://www.bbhc.org/firearms/records.cfm

That's an old one, not sure, but if it's pre-64 (1964) the serial number will NOT have a letter in front, afterwards there's a 'G' value is based on condition and rarity, mostly condition. If it's in good condition 800 on up, although a dealer won't give you much more than 400

You could try Winchester's website. Some of them have a value estimator. Or take it to your local gun dealer and have them give you an estimate.

I would say close to $1000 check the gun rooms at cabalas or bass pro shop for a better idea. the older the winchester the more money it may be worth.

HEY JERKFACE BLAPATH
THAT'S A PRETTY NICE THING TO SAY
WHY DONT YOU GET OFF HERE IF YOU DONT LIKE GUNS ?
WHY IS IT THAT PEOPLE LIKE YOU THAT HATE GUNS AND HUNTING SPEND SO MUCH TIME ON HERE ?
MAYBE YOU SHOULD BE HUNTED
THAT SAYS ALOT ABOUT WHAT YOU THINK OF THE PEOPLE THAT USED THEM TO SAVE YOUR *** AND GIVE YOU A SAFE PLACE TO LIVE.
I SUPPOSE IF YOU WERE IN DANGER AND CALLED A COP TO SAVE YOU THAT YOU WOULD NOT WANT HIM TO HAVE A GUN.
OH....I SEE. ROSIE O'DONNEL WANNA BE....THEN IT WOULD BE OK, RIGHT ?

If in good shape it worth 250.00

I hope this rifle - and anything similar - will just misfire or blow up in your hands. Hunting is a disgusting activity, killing animals just for fun
