How can I upload files from windows to a Unix server?

Is there an ftp program or something like that?

    Yes, FTP will work. The operating system of the server is irrelevant as long as it supports the protocol you want to use.

    SmartFTP is an excellent Windows FTP client, by the way.

    ftp to unix box from your windows box. I listed a couple of ftp client sites, just in case you don't have one. The exact steps will depend on which client and server are being used. But in general:

    1) ftp unixbox.com

    2) enter your login id and password

    3) cd /home/mydirectory

    4) get myfile.txt

    There are ftp programs. I like Filezilla FTP.

    Also there is online FTP like at http://www.ftplive.com/

    Try using WinSCP. This is the easiet way I have found to connect to Linux/Unix machines and upload/download files from Windows.
