In Northern States, Is Christmas, Christmas when there's Snow or not?

I've lived in Michigan most of My Life and Snow is usually a symbol of Christmas but this year Snow isn't in the Forecast or on the Ground. Will it change the "White Christmas" Mood??

When I lived in NY and woke up x-mas morning and there was no snow, it made me feel somewhat sad. There is a certain atmosphere about snowfall on Christmas morning. It seems to make it so cozy and peacefull. The blanket of snow creates a kind of peacefull feeling. I now live in Florida and I absolutely hate not having snow. But , remember the meaning of Christmas, family, friends, the meaning of the day for you based on your religion or beliefs is what captures the spirit of Christmas, regardless of snow. Have a Merry Christmas, no matter where you are.

I was born and grew up in a part of Canada where we NEVER had a Christmas without snow. Then I lived many years in Vancouver where they get more rain than snow over Christmas. Now I live in Mexico City where it has only snowed twice in the last 30 years, NEVER on Christmas.

Snow is wonderful at Christmas, it really make everything special, but still, some of the very best Christmases of my life have been here with our family in Mexico City, go figure....

(I think the moral is that Christmas is much more in your heart than in the weather forecast.........)

Some people say it does, some people say it doesn't. I live in Indiana so there's always a white Christmas. But one year I went to Hawaii and it was so wonderful. It didn't change anything for me. I'm not a big fan of snow but my mom is and she still liked the vacation!! I guess it depends on the person.

It is kind of sad. Christmas is Christmas whether it is 20 and 3 feet of snow or it is 40 and raining.

If you truely beleive in Christmas, then you should know that it is not about snow or Santa. But it is about the birth of Jesus. If you truely beleive, then the mood will not change. (I celebrated Christmas in Georgia and Texas. Do you think it snowed there?)lol

    Merry Christmas!

northern states. michigan, washington, north dakota, minnesota, maine, long island massachusetts, vermont, new hampshire, delaware, conneticut, rhode island, pennsylvania, ohio, indiana, illinois, oregon each so often, montana, colorado,. that's all i'm able to think of of off the precise of my head. i'm specific there is extra. yet particularly it in basic terms relies upon on the climate forecast for the day.

it is nicer when it is 'white' out... and we in MN got snow finally yesterday... now if it will stay, it will be so great! we spent one christmas in maui and it was very strange to us to have Christmas in a warm place!
