Are Japanese computers cheaper in the USA or in Japan itself?

Obviously, I am refering to the same compute models and at the same time, whatever and whenever that might be, in general!

Could be cheaper in the U.S. Because you don't need the Japanese letters that occupy an extensive portion of its hard disk. The same is true with Chinese PC.

So, even if (seemingly the same) Windows XP is sold cheaper in the U.S., it is not dumping. When IBM was in PC business, it took them almost 10 years to install Japanese letters in their PC and make it fanction properly for Japanese users (in the Word and Excell). No wonder they sold it to a Chinese company. See what I mean?

If it's a Windows computer, the cost of the box is trivial when compared to the cost of maintenance and antivirus/antispyware measures.

If you really want to save money and increase productivity, stay away from Windows. Get a Mac!
